Subject: Two charged following seizure of large quantity of drugs in Bridgewater (FILE #20230557219)

BRIDGEWATER, NS – On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at approximately 10 p.m. members of Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) teams from both the South Shore and Kings County, in conjunction with Criminal Intelligence Services Nova Scotia (CISNS) teams from the South Shore and the Annapolis Valley, and Bridgewater Police Service executed a warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) at a location on North Street in Bridgewater.

As a result of the search, police arrested an adult female and an adult male and seized a large quantity of cocaine, hydromorphine pills, cash, a prohibited weapon, and other drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking.   

The male, 41-year-old Micah Gerald Stewart of Bridgewater, faces charges of:

– Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
– Possession for the purpose of trafficking hydromorphine
– Possession of a prohibited weapon (a butterfly knife)
– Breach of an undertaking

Stewart was scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on April 27, 2023.

The adult female faces the same charges and will appear in June for plea.
