On Thursday, February 11, 2021, at approximately 10:10 p.m., Bridgewater Police Service and Bridgewater Fire Department responded to a 911 call for an electrical fire at 45 Dufferin Street in Bridgewater.
First responders determined that the cause of the fire was suspicious and an investigation was started by police. The investigation subsequently determined the cause was arson.
Megan Amanda Williams was arrested by members of the Halifax Regional Police Service on Thursday, March 18, 2021. She is currently in custody for others charges and will be appearing May 5, 2021, at the Bridgewater Courthouse facing a charge of Arson under Section 434 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
