Subject: Search warrant executed (FILE #2023-514225)
BRIDGEWATER, NS – On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at approximately 5 p.m., officers from the Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU), Criminal Intelligence Services Nova Scotia (CISNS), and Bridgewater Police Service (BPS) patrol and general investigation sections executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a rental unit at the Bridgewater Hotel on High Street.
Resulting from the search, a 26-year-old male and 47-year-old female both face charges of trafficking cocaine and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
Both of the accused have been released on undertakings and are scheduled to appear at the Bridgewater Provincial Courthouse on June 21, 2023, for plea.
Police seized a variety of drug trafficking and drug paraphernalia including, scales, ledgers, resale bags, mobile phones, cutting agents, and a baseball bat.
The investigation continues and more charges are possible.
